Hi,
I have a PLC CJ2M CPU32 (only USB port) with password. I would like to make a backup and change the program but I don't have the password.
When i try upload program from cpu to PC, i have message: ""The PLC is UM read protected"
Is it possible to read the password from the controller? Is there software for this?

Re: CJ2M CPU32 password protect
Hi! You need to see through the CX-Programmer what password level is set, the value is in the A99 register . Perhaps the program is closed only for reading from the controller , and the ability to copy to a flash card is left . If this is the case, then you need to copy the program to the map, although the copy will also be closed for viewing the program, it will not be problematic to release it from the password, see the topic on the forum on opening FB projects and other topics.

Re: CJ2M CPU32 password protect
Sorry for the delay. Thank you for your answer. Unfortunately, register bit A99.03 is set. Backup is forbidden and I can't backup to CF card.
