Portable versions created from above mentioned source CD (Original)
In all versions Professional license included in setup, so nothing is needed to run ;-D

Portable version is created by default settings during setup,
including all forms for each language, macro's etc which are delivered by Eplan on original CD.

Always needed (doesn't depend on the selected language)

- EplX01.exe
- Epl6000.exe

And of course the language file you want to run!


Portable version uses Z:\EPLAN4\ by default.
If you want to save your own drawings, macro's, forms etc,

create on host system the following folders (For example: drive= D:\)

D:\EPLAN4\F\CUS\ F=Formular folder
D:\EPLAN4\L\CUS\ L=Partslist settings folder
D:\EPLAN4\M\CUS\ M=Macro Folder
D:\EPLAN4\N\CUS\ N=Symbol Folder
D:\EPLAN4\O\CUS\ O=common confuguration settings folder
D:\EPLAN4\P\CUS\ P=Project folder

Where CUS is default used customer name in Eplan

Please note that in some languages (in particular Greek and Russian) certain language-specific characters are not always correctly displayed.

Yep, working on portable version for Eplan P8 v1.9.6 HF1
Already testing this portable P8 version at home.
Still working for easier installing dongle emulator....

Dear benthouse

I download the English version of Eplan Portable but I have problem with that
I execute the program and when it try to click on Project Selection the program stop running and I get "Not Responding" and I have to end it in task manager, What is your solution ?

My Windows is XP SP2 also I try in 3 different Computer ...
Also I dont have drive Z in My computer when I run the program...

The Z: Drive is a virtual created drive by the program.
This is done to avoid problems with default Eplan4\ folders on C: drive

It doesn't matter on what drive yo use it.

For the solution 'project solution'it also exists on Eplan portable versions with a different language.
The solution is to open first a graphic page.

(pull down menu left hand side, second from above)

Then go back to main menu and do project selection again.

I don't know how this has happend, but this is the solution.
