[Question] Beckhoff Twincat - Serial Ports

Hi,

Is it possible to access "virtual serial ports" like ftdi USB<>SERIAL devices from Twincat?

Twincat only provides com ports 1-4, but with virtual serial ports they can be anything from com1 to com100+

I have tried using an ftdi USB<>SERIAL, also USB<>RS485 cable but with no luck

Has anyone anything to add to this?

No. There are special real-time (twincat) driver for HW COM ports from Beckhoff. But there are no special driver for udb ftdi chip.
