[?]: S5 PLCs Windows Programming Software for usb-serial

May Anyone upload a S5 sofware for Windows, for PLC Siemens 90U, 95U,100U...155U
and that it works with a interface serial-USB due to I have not serial
port in my Laptop, please except Siemens s5 v7, it dont work with
interfase serial-usb, or maybe sombody know how to do, for that this type of interface do the job?

install virtual pc from microsoft
install 95,98,nt,2000,xp virtualy
install step 5 on this OS
connect usb-com,in properties of virOS select com1 for use your com
run your virtOS
run step5

Dear friend,
I use for several years PG95 which is downloaded from adress provided by this site (many thanks for administrators and contribuitors).
It works fine.
An alternative is PG2000, or if you prefere S5-S7 for windows.

Something verry IMPORTANT:
is verry important the USB-serial adapter. I use one produced by FTDICHIP company, and one produced by "SITECOM". personaly I prefer FTDI.

about Virtual Pc, I found Virtual PC 2007, I installed s5 v7 and it worked fine!
However, I´m going to test next week with my usb-com interface to see what happens due to i have not a CPU in my hand in this moment.

Hi, Dear Friends

I have done several test with my laptop and my usb-com interface but, I have not
comunication with the PLC still(with PG2000 and with S5 installed on PC Virtual), I think that maybe the problem is my interface model
because both sofwares works perfectly in my DeskTop Computer which have a standard serial port RS232 . In this test I used a Siemens Cable
6ES5 734-1BD20 , a Prolific interface usb-rs232, and a Siemens CPU 102. Now, look at this, However I did the same test with Software WinSPS-S5 (which I got a link here!!) and it works good with my interface, the only problem I see, this program is in German Language which it's some dificult for me, it much better if it was in English too!!, so it must be interesting any advice,

Dear friend,
as long you can be connected with S5 for windows software to S5 PLC, you can also be connected to PLC, using the same adapter, and with the others software like PG2000 or S5-S7 Doctor.

Thank you for your help, I have tried all my friend, inclusive made a new
adapter rs232-tty like to com_tty_v1 that you recommended in some of this links, and nothing happens, it's for that I'm going to buy a new interface usb-rs232 to do a new test. By the way, I tried with PG2000 and it must be interesting try with PG95 too and see what happens, the only problem is that following link has an error http://plcforum.uz.ua//PG ... cluide.rar
so, Would you be kind enough upload this program to try again?

PS: the new adapter I made works perfect with PG2000 in a normal RS232 port.

Hi Dear Friends

Today I brought a new adapter UNITEK Y-105 USB CONVERTER, now the last checked softwares works fine!!!, definitively the problem was or the first adapter or prolific driver or maybe was me , the following softwares run ok with this new adapter:

PG2000, S5 V7.2 with Virtual PC 2007, S5 Doctor and WinSPS-S5
(the last, maybe the most faithful due to it worked well with both interfaces)

An interesting anecdote was that happened with Siemens S5 V7.2, because it works well in Windows XP and with these types of interface, but with Virtual PC or a similar one.
So, Congratulations and thanks to dekor and sania for your considerable help
