[?]: WAGO 750-920 Communications Cable pinout/signal levels

Post by Velund »

Hello everyone!

I'm looking for any information concerning WAGO 750-920 Communications Cable - schematic or pinout + signal levels would be ideal (plan to build one).

Just got 750-816 unit with a handful of i/o modules from some dismantled equipment and like to use it to advance my PLC programming skills litle bit. ;)

BTW: Is it the same cable as used with Beckhoff KS-2000 software?

Glad to hear this... But does anyone know enough about it to be able to build one from junkbox parts? ;)

My junkbox is pretty rich, of course, I can pull something starting from vintage military low inductance high power RF load resistor (with berillium oxide warning sign on top, brrr) to modern ARM-based microcontroller from there. ;) And for sure, there is a lot of various RS-232 buffer chips and connectors. ;)

Well. It was easy. Figured it out using multimeter in a minutes, once opened PLC case and found microcontroller datasheet. Used handy RS-232-TTL converted board to build programming cable, works perfectly.

Can you please give us the pinout?
I suppose (from top to bottom) +5V, tx, rx, Gnd.
But i can't burn my fieldbus coupler trying...

Thanks,

Found another pinout in my old notes:

TOP
--TxD
--RxD
--+5VDC
--GND
BOTTOM

Signal levels are TTL (0VDC/5VDC).
