[?]: SIEMENS PC ADAPTER USB version problem

Hi all,

I have recently purchased PC adapter USB V1.2 from Siemens and I'm trying to communicate with S7 313C-2DP CPU with V2.0.8 X 1 MPI slot without any extra modules attached to it.
I have adjusted the parameters of PG/PC interface as follows:

Interface parameter assignment used:
PCAdapter(MPI) and its properties are as follows:
A- MPI tap:
Station Parameters:
1- Address: 0
2- Time out : 30s
Network parameters:
1- Transmission rate: 19.2 Kbps
2- Highest station address: 31

B-Local connection tap:
connection to: USB


and when I'm to establish a communication it refuses and gives me an error message.

I'm doubting that the firmware version is the cause because as i mentioned earlier...the MPI slot of CPU 313C-2DP is V 2.0.8 and the version of my adapter is 1.2.

So..I'm asking for your help to figure it out....Please

thanks scarch...i found out what made it so....it's the MMC...it gives unrecognized error I think it's damaged or formatted using usual removable disk format.
I unplugged it and i can communicate with the CPU now.
