Dear All
I have an old system which one of its components is the communication processor CP 343-1
6GK7343-1EX10-0XE0 & I want to make a replacement of a new one of the type:-
6GK7343-1EX30-0XE0
The questions are as follows:-
1-Is that type is the new replacement ?
2-Will the change just be when I change in the Hardware configuration in the Simatic Manager or there are some othe procedures will be taken
I need your high reply to me as I am in that problem right now & thanks in advance for your efforts

Re: [?]: replacement CP343-1
The type 1EX30 is newer hardware version and smaller size.
Changes is only done in SIMATIC hardware configuration windows. Change the moduler in rack and save & recomplied it in STEP7, then dowload it to CPU.

in hardware you need replace !not delete & insert!save&compile, download

Re: [?]: replacement CP343-1
not "configured the Hardware",but "configured connection"
in simatic maneger or hardware configuration press icon "configure connection"
after this press on your CPU ,in down part you see connection table
if configured you can see properties
