Hello,

From detail description for CIF 50-PB (Profibus DP - Master card), seems yes you can.
125 Slaves
7168 Byte I/O Data
DPV1 Extensions
Class 1 and 2 Services
MPI functions
Best regards,

I saw this description but in manual there is no word about MPI. I'm wondering, Profibus is open standard, so anyone can build this interface, but MPI is exclusively from Siemens. Both use RS-485, but is it enough to communicate with S7?

Hi,
Did You try to install driver for that card. If it is possible than in PG/PC interface (in Control Panel or from STEP7) You can see what You can do with this card.

I've just installed CIF 50-PB in my system and it looks that this card can't be used as programming interface at all.
