Of course it is possible. At first of all you must be sure for RSLinx connect is established.

Are you installed the EDS-files for communicate modules? Check it.

Are your SLC system running correctly now, or you was replaced same communicate module? Or you creating the new system?
Do you can see the single local adapter in SLC rack then ControlNet disconnected?

1) If you was take the "fresh" module, it need to flashing for latest version RSLinx.
Rule: THE FRESH MUST BE TO FLASH
Did you to do it?
Then same version firmware in all net adapters it's right.

2) Are you sure that the adapters has a different node address?

OK! You right, your need a "special" soft...
...but this soft also called ControlFlash ;)

Look to this
http://samplecode.rockwellautomation.co ... _-en-p.pdf on p.2
You can download current versions of the software from the
Rockwell Automation Software Updates web page:
http://support.automation.rockwell.com/webupdates/.
If your version of RSNetWorx software does not recognize a newer
1747-SCNR scanner, you may need to update the electronic data sheet
(EDS) file for the scanner. To update the EDS file, do one of the
following:
• Use the RSNetWorx for ControlNet Register Device feature to
perform an online update.
• Download the EDS file from
http://www.ab.com/networks/eds.
Use either the RSNetWorx for ControlNet EDS Wizard or the
EDS hardware-installation tool.
• Contact Rockwell Automation Technical Support.

Hi Ryzhij,
thanks for your advise..
I ask rockwell support, they told me, you can't download controlnet configuration thru CPU in SLC 500 System except Controllogix system, because the SLC backplane is I/O scan method and Control Logix backplane is communication method. So, you must download the controlnet configuration direct to the 1747-SCNR using 1784-U2CN (USB to ControlNet) it using NAP.
Now, i can download the configuration with this interface, now the problem is node 2 always missing and node 3 sometimes match but suddenly missing.
is this the cable problem??

I think, if you have capability firmware into all your nodes, probably problem in cable, connectors or end-terminators.
Are the net was assembled completely then you NetWorx apply?

Hi,
the problem was found in the terminator.
I can read all digital input from flex i/o now but why i can't write digital output to the flex i/o?
is this wrong scanlist configuration??
the system configuration was :

node device
01 1747-SCNR
02 1794-ACN15 with 5 module DI 32point and 3 module DO 32point
03 1794-ACN15 with 4 module DI 32point and 3 module DO 32point

can you tell me the correct scanlist configuration for above system?

The status from scanlist configuration when online mode is :

all eds already updated.
if i use auto insert in the scanlist, only read 16 bit each DI module, DO module still can't write.

Hi any body,

It is possible configuration 1747-SCNR devicenet thru cpu slc 500 using serial. I do not how to download, but i am sure they use only RS232 cable to configure devicenet or controlnet. Now i can not ask them.

I used RSNetwork for DeviceNet configure 1747-SDN and download via PCMK .you can used RSNetwork for ControlNet configure 1747-SCRN
I do not used RS232 cable .
according to their different PLC that can be used RS232, DH485 ,DH+,Ethernet to configure.
good luck.

Hi dang tuan.
PCMK is communication card of AB uesd for Laptop. connect with PLC and SLC via DH+ or DH485.
I used PCMK download configure DeviceNet to 1747-SDN and used RSNetwork for DeviceNet online via 1770-KFC.Run ok.
you use any type of SLC that?

Hi,
I have two ways connect to CPU.
1. RS232 direct to slc500
2. Use adapter 1747-PIC/AIC+ ( of AB ) to connect DH485 port CPU.

Good job.
also used in their place 1747-PIC/AIC but 6 year ago. Now only used PCMK for laptop and DH+,DH485 for Desktop.
Best Regards.

Hi,
Just to say : it is possible to connect to a DeviceNet Network using the backplane of the SLC.
