I´m having a problem a problem with an HMI Application based on tecnomatrix factorylink and was hoping that someone could help me out or give me a hint of what the problem is. The whole system consists of a PLC 5/40b with some remote racks in a RIO network and two IPC panels from Schneider ( pentium III 512mb ram) connected to the PLC (one through RS232 port and the other is in a DH channel 1A). The two panels are connected together through an Ethernet cable. Now the problem is that the HMI application freezes several times in the day so the operator has to manually switch off the panel and restart windows 2000 again, I checked the PLC because I thought it was a communication problem but when the application freezes the PLC is still working fine (no comm fault flashing) and also I tried to change screens in the HMI panel and the whole thing is frozen. I`m guessing that perhaps the application has a bug or simply the application is too heavy for the pc panel so I copied the project folder and downloaded the tecnomatix software and I was able to open the application screens but wasn`t able to do anything else. Honestly this is the first time I´ve worked with factorylink so I´m not familiar with the software so if any of you has an idea i´d appreciated very much.
