[?]: Problem installing Step 7 v5.5 and PLCSIM 5.4 SP4

Post by cmedeiros »

Good Night,

Was updating the PLCSIM 5.4 SP3 to SP4.
During installation an error occurred ( The following program could not be installed. S7-PLCSIM 5.4 incl. SP4. Setup cannot complete the installation), which did not report details.
The same error occurred during the installation Step 7 v5.5.

When opening the software was installed indicated that the correct versions.

But when using the Step 7, I realized that the command to download was not enabled.

I could not download the changes I made.

My operating system is Windows XP SP3 in Portuguese.

Does the question of language of OS may be interfering with the installation, or Siemens made some sort of lock to use the software.
Can someone help me.

Thanks guys.

Check "Object properties" - Step7 or PCS7 project type?
PCS7 project type can download only full configuration, Step7 can download all or parts of project.

Start menu-run-write "msconfig". Uncheck all the 23489 useless programs in services and start-up, restart and try again. Also run %temp% and temp and delete all files
