Hello.
Is there any possibility to force windows xp to search hard drives faster when it starts working?
I have installed step7 and wincc flexible and it's annoying when I have to wait a few minutes until windows explorer will show my hard drives.
I think I should disable some services, but I don't know which ones.
Please help.

Change all SQL related services and also S7 services to manual (not disabled).
Execute msconfig and dismark all S7 entries in start programs. Restart the system and check if everything works.
When Windows start to press CTRL+ALT+DEL for run the Task Manager and view runned S7 processes (Tab Processes, sort "Mem usage" column).
