YES it is for CP521 Basic....How can I transfer the program with Hyperterminal????? if you can help me I will Appreciate it a lot.
connect to the 25pin serial port of the CP521 through a null modem cable (2 and 3 crossed).
put the CP521 in stop, if it is running, put the switch on CP521 in stop.
Then start and stop the PLC (run switch).
Open hyperterminal 9600 N E and press space.
You get a READY prompt.
Load you basic program through Hyperterminal File Send Text file.
After the program is transferred enter: PROG1
and then RUN

Hi Monty good day...thanks for your help but I have one more question how can I upload the actual program that is running in the module using Hyperterminal?????
Is there any list of commands to talk with the module using hyperterminal????
I really appreciate all your help and I hope to help you some day.
THANKS
Segaauto
Thanks Corosop15 for your help.
My problem with this file is that it runs with versions lower than 7.0 of step5 and I have version 7.23.
I have been trying to get step 7 vesion 6.x but I can't find it.
i have looked into all my archives, and i found 4 disks 3½'' with STEP5/ST for PC V6.03 and 3 disks 3½'' with STEP5/ST for PC V6.5 (Updating from V6.X).
It's running of old MS-DOS. I hope, the disks are o.k. If the disks are still readable, I upload it and you get a link for it.
i don't know if you can upload it back using hyperterminal.
But if the CP521 module is in stop : basic interpreter says: READY:
you can view the program with the basic LIST commando
maybe a copy paste action would do then
I put the module in stop mode and I followed all your instructions but it never say ready: and I can't write in hyperterminal there is only a cursor blinking but when I try to write nothing happens what I try to write is not showed. But every time when I press a key the led RCV in the module blink and looks like reciving something but nothing happens.
I you have any idea of what is happening I will appreciate any comment.
Thanks for the software i really appreciate it. Now my problem is that I can't install it because I have windows XP and the installer don't run.
I need to find a windows 95 or 98 in order to make it run or I don't know if there is a way to install it in windows XP.
Hi everybody good day....Finally I install step5 in dos.
I had to use VirtualBox and install a dos image and install step 5.
BUT here an other problem.... step5 is asking for a device that has to be connected in the parallel port in order to run I thing is a kind of electronic old Licence and as usual I don't know what to do.

sounds like you are using the "PG" version, the licence works by verifying the prommer is connected.
