Hi all!
S7-1200 RS232 port is male.
S7-200 RS485 port is female.
So, is it possible to interconnect those two ports via PPI/RS232 cable, and establish Modbus communication between S7-1200 and S7-200?
Anyone did it?
Thanks in advance.

sania,
PPI/RS232 cable converts RS232 (on the one cable end) to RS485 (on the other cable end).
See pages 468 to 469 in S7-200 System manual:

kHm, I decided not to be lazy.
Since I have S7-200 S7-1200 and PPI/RS232 cable in my garage, tomorrow I will try to establish communication, then I will inform you all if i make it.

Oh s**t!
My S7-224 is a firmware version 1.22 so it does not support Modbus library commands... Grrrrrr
I foud a old Tip41B written for CPU216, step-by-step, I will ty to modify it, but it will take some time...
