Dear All,
we purchase German sheet metal forming press , the system is automatic with Siemens S5 115U cpu 944 , and the program is lost due to battery failure ,
I need help if any body face the same problem can share the solutions.

You can ask to the company that developed the machine. They may have a backup of all their machines.

Usualy there is an EPROM module inserted (orange coloured) and if your battery is drained the system will lost only changable parameters of machine, not program. If the slot of EPROM is empty, then...., but it is not in German style to have a machine without EPROM, somebody stole it (sabotage).

Coyote is rigth, tr to perform an OVERALL reset (hold mode switch in MRES postition until LED flashes) - see manuals.
