HI
I'll use the prosave program, But i need to know the details about the communication cable between pc and touch screen ( serial ( via RS232/PPI MULTI-MASTER CABLE )).
or can i use the USP to MPI adapter to establish the communication between PC & SCREEN.
Please, urgently.

Hi,
The method I use is with a USB to USB transfer cable. You can get a Belkin one which will definately work. I use a clone type but whichever one you choose make sure you don't use the cables USB driver, use the USB Bulk Driver that is on a WinCC disk.
Just set the transfer mode at the panel to be USB and select USB in Prosave and away you go. You can also use this with WinCC if you have the project files.
Hope this helps.

No, Maher. You can not use USB adapter becouse it needs 24VDC from PLC/HMI side and only CPU-DP ports and advanced HMI ports provide this 24VDC.
Use 232/PPI adapter (you can use Profilic USB/232 converter if your laptop has no serial ports). It work, tested.

Hint for future:
ALWAYS look at the proper manual:
In manual
SIMATIC HMI
HMI Device
TP 177A, TP 177B, OP 177B
(WinCC flexible)
Operating Instructions
at page 22:

Operating Instructions
at page 22:
"PC / PPI cable
You need the PC / PPI cable for TP 177A, TP 177B 6" and OP 177B to update the operating
system by resetting it to the factory settings. In addition, with TP 177B and OP 177B you can
use the cable for transferring purposes. Connect the PC/PPI cable to the RS 422/RS 485
interface. The cable converts the input signals to RS-232 signals.
The cable is not included the scope of delivery for the HMI device. The cable can be ordered
separately under the order number 6ES7 901-3CB30-0XA0.
Note
If the connection fails during the operating system update, set the system to a lower bit rate.
If you use a higher bit rate, you must use the PC / PPI cable release 3 or higher.
The version code is printed on the cable (e.g., "E stand 3" corresponds to version 3)."

Re: [?]: download to touch screen TP177A old project
When downloading application to HMI, you can select if upload will be possible. If uupload is possible, you can 'transfer back' application with WinCC Flex. If upload is not possible, you can make Backup using WinCC or Prosave. Backup IS NOT EDITABLE, it is just image of HMI memory.
So, depending of what you get (application or backup) you will choose a Transfer (form WinCC Flex, but update OS first), or you will chose Restore (from WinCC Flex od Prosave).
