[?]: Conecting MP377 panel to S5-115 via PROFIBUS.

Post by Pavel_74 »

Hi friends!!!

Basically I working with SIMATIC S7-300 and S7-400, but now I have following task.
I need connect new panel, "SIMATIC" "Multi panel MP377 15 Touch" to the old
PLC SIMATIC S5-115U, by using communication processor CP5431 for SIMATIC S5.
But I don't have the EEPROM module for CP5431.

According to CP5431 manual, I using NCM software to configure the CP. But during
configuration setting the NCM appears the message that "submodule unplugged".
Possibly it means that no EEPROM module. As I have correctly understood, the CP
is no working without EEPROM module. Is it correct?

And also, can you explain me step by step sequence how to commissioning CP5431
for SIMATIC S5.

Thank you.
Pavel.

hi i don't know how it is been done with cp5431

But we do this with IM308C and ComProfibus software

But i think this is what you are looking for with cp5431

You can also connect the mp377 directly to the cpu with as511
then you will need

TD/TTY opto S5-90/155U cable part number 6XV1440-2AN16 along with an RS422/TTY Converter part number 6XV6671-8XJ00-0AX0
