Hello !
A simple program of start - stop motor is to be simulated between step7 + S7-PLCSIM + WinCC Flex 2005.
Could anyone please give a simple procedure of how to configure these 3 applications (already installed on one laptop) and see the visuals on WinCC Flex screen (like say a conveyor is running when you press "START" and it stops upon pressing "STOP" pushbutton)
I apologize for raising such a basic query .... but I'm totally "illeterate" on WinCC.
Regards

Re: simulation between s7plcsim + s7+wincc flex 2005
Hi,
First You have to adjust PG/PC interface (Start -> All Programs -> Simatic -> Step7 -> Setting PG/PC Interface or ftom Step7 under Options -> Set PG/PC Interface).
There You should adjust appropriate interface.
In Your case some of PLCSIM interfaces depending on type of communication between WinCC Flex and PLC.
Start PLCSIM from Step7. In PLCSIM adjust interface in popup menu (PLCSIM(TCP/IP), PLCSIM(MPI)..).
Download PLC program (in program blocks CTRL+A -> PLC -> Download). In WinCC Flex in Communication -> Connections You should adjust HMI and PLC interface (it is good idea to integrate Your WinCC Flex project in Step7). Now You can start WinCC Flex runtime (Project -> Compiler -> Start Runtime).
Now simulatin should work.

Hello !
My PG/PC interface is set to PLCSIM(MPI) as I confirmed it from Simatic Manager.
The HMI I'm using in WinCC Flex is OP73.
I downloaded the project to S7-PLCSIM and everything gets simulated successfully ok.
But when I try to start runtime simulator from WinCC Flex , it says something like ......

Re: [?]: simulation between s7plcsim + step7+wincc flex 2005
Why can't you simulate the Runtime for an OP73/OP73micro/TP177A/ TP177micro or OP77A in WinCC flexible on a PC?

Upgrade your Flex to 2008FAQ wrote:The Runtime simulation of an OP73 / OP73micro / TP177A / TP177micro or OP77A is not provided for in WinCC flexible 2004 nor in WinCC flexible 2005 SP1, so the corresponding selection options are grayed out and cannot be executed.
Operator panels without Runtime simulator → HMI device with Runtime simulator
OP73, OP73micro, OP77A → OP77B
TP177micro, TP177A → TP170A or TP177B
As of WinCC flexible 2007 it is now also possible to use the Runtime simulation of OP73 / OP73micro / TP177A / TP177micro or OP77A

Re: [?]: simulation between s7plcsim + step7+wincc flex 2005
Hi !
Many thanks for the info/link.
I will install a "comparable"' device OP77B and then try again.
Actually, I made a very simple program of a motor start-stop (only one FC !) and tested on S7-PLCSIM. It works.
But I was hoping to see some kind of "animation" on the WinCC Flex screen ........ something like a motor or a conveyor is running when you press a start button and it stops when you press stop button. Do I need any kind of codes to be written in WinCC Flex or the integration with step 7 is sufficient? (I'm sorry ... I know it sounds like a complete zero on my part ... I'm planning to read the pdf files very soon ..... but may I have your advice on this?)
@ Info : "Upgrade your Flex to 2008"
From where ............ Any source?
(I downloaded total 43 parts of zipped files for WinCC 2008 ... But when I try to unpack each file says ""CRC error ,file is corrupted" !!!!!!!!!!)
Regards

Dear CoMod,
Thank you very much for the quick response and the setup file for Winrar !
Rapidshare puts me on hold for 5 min and then says something like "server connection not reachable or switch to premium account".
I tried with narod.ru, It is asking for, probably, an activex or some permission to allow one application to come into your PC. Is that safe?
Also, please advise on the first half of my last post.

After I unpacked all the 12 zipped files , it created a new folder "Winccflex 2008" of just 2.40GB (not 3.6GB as you said).

Dear CoMod,
You mean I can install SP2 without installing SP1?
And , the link you gave me talks about HF3 , HF2 and HF1.
Can I install HF3 without installing HF2 and HF1 ?
Please confirm.
Many thanks for positive co-operation.

So, the way I downloaded will not sit on Windows XP SP3?
According to the above download variants, I guess I made a mistake in the order of the downloading.
Please advise.
