[?]: CP343-1 Advanced malfunctioning

Post by vaxanmook »

Hi,

1) Iam using CP343 in CBA mode to communicate with PLC's using Imap.
Problem is CP343 stops communicating (randomly) with any one of the PLC in a network.
Only solutions for this is that I just recycle the power of PLC and CP and everything is healthy again.
Any suggestions.....any remedies?
All the LED of the CP remains green.

2) Also is there any write up on CP343 addresses.
That is say hardware address of the CP is 256, then I need what is there at PIW256,258,....Also PQW256,258.... etc

For (1), did you check the diagnostics buffer of the PLC? Usually there is some info on what's happening, so give it a look...
Do you have more than one CPUs online? Are there any other devices on the network? Try and do a packet analysis on the pc (use wireshark), and check if there are any "wrong" packets.

For (2), this is usually found on HW Config for your CPU/CP, so you might check there... Although not in the way I think you're thinking... This is for communication between 2 CPUs, I don't get what exactly is it you're trying to do here. If you like give more info.
