RSLinx v2.59 and server 2008 R2 SP1

Hi guys. I have RSLinx v2.59 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. My trouble is the following:

If I run service RSLinx, I can't open programm interface RSLinx, I try start RSLinx but nothing happens, but the process in task manager is work. In tray the icon is missing.

If service RSLinx is off. I open RSLinx Classic Launch Control Panel and start RSLinx classic application without "Always Run as service". RSLinx will starts, appears icon in tray and I can open programm interface for work with RSLinx, but I can't run a service. If I try start service I will see next error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

In both cases RSLinx OPCServer works well.

Always I must choose between service and programm interface, I think this is not good.
I try use windows server 2008 sp2 but nothing change.

This is a well known issue.
You can setup RSLinx to start together with Windows in your case Server2008.
If so you will not notice any difference running as program or Service.

You can also choose to run as a program during setup and configuring system.
When system running change RSLinx to run as a service.

Because of what this problem occurs ? Multicore processor or x64 windows or windows server ?

I'm not sure. But i have only seen this on Servers. Never on Workstations.
Anyway when you know it's no big problem
