[?]: Siemens S7 300 analog input 4-20 mA signal

Post by omar zedan »

Dear All
I need to read 2 wires analog input 4-20 mA signal in S7 SIMATIC Manager OB1
1- I bring analog input module and put the selector to D position.
2-Connect the module in rack and the address in HW config. start with 272.
3-connect a 20 pin front connector and connect screw 1 to 24 VDC (external power supply) and screw 20 to GND (from the same external power supply and from the rack power supply "307") this mean I make a major ground for the system.
4-I connect the input to the screws 2 "+" and 3 "-" (this input taken from analog output module in another PLC)
5-I wrote a network in OB1 just MOV instruction to move PIW 272 to MW100
but the result is 7FFF "Hex" when I try to read signal from module (by right click the module in HW config. and select Monitor/ Modify the result also is 7FFF "Hex" I replace the module the result still the same.
What can I do?????????????????????
Thanks a lot.

Check the diagnostic list of the module, something is wrong (wire break, overflow etc.). (HW-congfig, highlight module, CTRL-D for diagnosis)

You parameterized input in the HW config as a 2-wire current?
Modul order number?
Check the polarity of the connected device.
