Cant download to 1769-L16

Post by mdim »

I am using RSLgix 20.0 and RSLinx 2.59
When i try to connect to L16 controller i get the error "Attribute value not settable".
In offline mode the program is ok(no errors), the modules configuration matches the physically existing modules.
Does anybody have ideas where is my mistake?

P.S. I thought it is problem with the firmware.
I have tested with 20.11.70 and 20.13. .... When I try to revert to 20.01 i get message "You dont have permissions"

Are you using windows 7 or vista? Haven't checked yet but the first thing that comes to mind is a files permission or windows UAC problem.

Win XP sp.3
I'll try to disable UAC, but don't think that is the problem.
When I flash the controller with v.20.11 to 20.13 - no problem,
20.13 to 20.11 - no problem,
20.13 to 20.13 - no problem
20.11 to 20.11 - no problem
20.11 or 20.13 to 20.01 - error

I still have this problem.
Today I tried with Studio5000 (RSLogix v21), but there is no firmware v. 21 for the L16 controller.
I will appreciate if somebody gives any suggestions

For L16 only supported firmware are:
20.011
20.012
20.013
21.011 (should work for Logix Studio (V21))

Solved!!!
The version of RSL5k v.20 in this site was without RSLinx included and when you are installing defaults you should manually browse to the correct directory in RSLinx installation disk.
If you don't do this everything seems to work fine, but you can't write to any controller.
Thanks, everybody
