It seems that there are problems when trying to import .edz files to EPLAN P8 2.2, so here it is:
0) I'm assuming that you have successfully installed EPLAN P8 2.2. If not check viewtopic.php?f=7&t=18563 (

I'm also assuming that you are using the "Expert" view, so you get all menus visible.
1) Download "EPLAN P8 EDZ import tool v2.1.6" from viewtopic.php?f=7&t=19500 (

2) Now, start EPLAN P8 2.2, go to menu "Utilities -> Add-ons..."
In the "Add-ons" window, press "New (Ctrl + Alt + N)".
Navigate to directory: "C:\Program Files (x86)\EPLAN\EPLAN Data Archive Zipped\2.1\cfg", and choose "install.xml".
Click "Open" button.
In the "Add-ons" window, next to the "EPLAN Data Archive Zipped" check the "Registered" check box.
Click "OK"
3) Go to menu "Utilities -> API Add-ins...".
In the "API modules (assemblies)" window, click "Load".
Navigate to directory "C:\Program Files (x86)\EPLAN\EPLAN Data Archive Zipped\2.1\bin", and choose "Eplan.EplAddIn.Emfz.dll"
Click "Open" button.
In the "API modules (assemblies)" window, click "OK".
That's it, you're done!
Now, if you want to import an .edz file, you follow these steps:
4) Go to menu "Utilities -> Parts -> Management...".
In the "Parts Management" window, click "Extras -> Import..."
In the new "Import records" window, choose:
File type: "EPLAN Data Archive"
File name: (Your .edz file that you want to import)
Click "OK"
It may ask you to select additional files to import.
If you have .edz files from Siemens, you can, so choose the right one and click "Import".
If you've finished, then in the "Parts Management" window, click "Close", otherwise repeat the procedure.
It may ask you to synchronize the parts database with your project. If you want, then click "Yes".
