Can someone please help me with a micrologix 1400

I have read and been told that I can get the password through a serial program that monitors the port when trying to gain access to the plc.
I have a vendor that wrote the code and sold the division to another company that no longer supports the system.
So essentially I am stuck as the original vendor no longer supports my plc and the company who they sold the technology to basically bought it to eliminate the competition and wont support us.
I just need to change a output from PWM to a BO. Pretty simple so I thought.
Please Help me, or guide me to somewhere I can find help.

I tried it and it did not work. I also read that it could be discovered the same way that the password in a SLC500 could be recovered, but I have not had any luck. I can connect to it through the df1 protocol but I cannot find the data in the logged serial communications. Can anyone verify that it can or cannot be done? Thanks Howard
