The new PC Adapter USB A2 offers the scope of functions of the previous PC Adapter USB.

The following additional functions have been integrated:
· Innovation of the PG/PC slot technology to USB 2.0
· +5V Power supply from the USB port
· Support of all PROFIBUS baud rates up to 12 MB
· Support of firmware loading of S7-PROFIBUS CPs

The USB port to which the PC Adapter USB A2 is to be connected must support High-Power USB Devices, i.e. the interface must be able to deliver 500 mA.
The power supply via the S7-CPU interface or the 24V plug-in adapter is no longer possible.
