[?]: Select Citect SCADA for refrigerated chambers

Post by escar »

Hi,
I don't know if this is the right place to post this issue, but there are not many forums in this business.

I have a project installed on my factory. I have a few refrigerated chambers that I need to control temperature and humidity. There are sensors for both and use coolers to control it.

It is all connected to a Mitsubishi FX3U–16M PLC, with FX3U-485 ADP MB and FX3U-64 DP-M modules for communication with a PC. In this PC, I have SCADA software that was build and installed by a company which doesn't exist anymore.

This software starts from "%Programs%\Mx4\SCADA 7.0\Bin\Citect32.exe". I guess it was built with Scnheider Citect SCADA 7.0 (Mx4 is a OEM build, I think).

My problem is that I need to change many things on the software and don't know what to do. I have PLC software, but I don't have SCADA original project. If I had, I would just try to change it.

So, my questions are:
  • [li]Should I start a new SCADA software with new Citect new version (7.4)? [/li]
    [li]There are CitectSCADA and Vijeo SCADA.. I don't know what's the difference.[/li]
[li]How much would cost new Schneider software? I can't find prices anywhere.[/li]
[li]Should I start a new SCADA software with new Citect older version (7.0)?[/li]
[li]Could I possible use other SCADA software than Schneider?[/li]
Sorry for all this newbie questions, but I need urgently to change my project.

Thank you.
