Please help me to find the IP address storage bits in Micrologix 1400 PLC.
I am having 50 machines with ML1400 PLC which will communicate to 1 compact logix controller.
I need to send data from each ML1400 PLC to comapact logix to a same address. I need to send the IP details along with the data.
It is possible with SLC 5/05. But not able to find with ML1400. please help

Re: [?]: Ethernet IP Storage address in Micrologix ML1400
It is NOT very clear what exactly you trying to do...
But, 50 different MSG instructions from one controller it is a lot (MicroLogix Class Controller does not support Internet/IP ...).
Assuming, you have static IP Addresses for ALL controlers, the best way will be to set-up All MSG instructions on the CLX Controller.
If you experience network problems (assuming again, you have some other devices on the same network), you may have to "group" a few MLX Controllers to communicate between each other and only one of each group to communicate with CLX Controller
(i read somewhere when CLX Controller has over 16 MSG/CIP connections, that slowing down the communications, also if you have separate ENET card with Internet I/O on the CLX Controller, it will be slowing down too...also, the scan time will be affected too... ) .
Since you have the destination IP addresses on the CLX Controller MSG instructions, you will know when and where the data coming from.
Just need to synchronized the data on the CLX Controller.
Once again, it is not very clear what exactly you trying to do...
