[?]: Uploading a .SPF file onto a Simatic S7-300

Post by albysoo »

Dear All,

I have a second hand proprietary machine, that uses the FM357-2 to control a 2 axis movement.
There is a movement pattern xxxx.SPF file, which i need to alter. I have this one the PC. but need to upload it into the PLC.

I am completely new to siemens, and I do not know how to get the file onto the PLC.
I have the Step7 software on my labtop, I have a USB-MPI cable that I can connect to the PLC. but it looks like the STEP7 software is not what I need to connect.

Does anyone know what software I need to upload the .SPF and .MPF files?

Hello,

Download package from:

https://support.automation.siemens.com/ ... ype=133100

Install it then open S7 sw. If you don't have the project, make new one and choose PLC/Upload to PC/PG.
Under hw, search your module, right click, object properties, parametrize.
You will see the content of FM with all the directories (main programs, subprograms). The rest is easy.
