Siemens profibus and modbus

Post by omar zedan »

Dear All
I have CPU 317-2pn/dp and I want to use it as a getaway i.e (I read data from circuit breakers via profibus and send this data via modbus RTU to central control) and I use CP341 module.
Did this CPU support this purpose (can I use this cpu in these tow protocols)?
What can I write in this program (Program architecture)?
Best Regards

CP341 is expensive, and need a even more expensive dongle for Modbus. Since your CPU has a PN port, better use S7-1211+CM1241RS485 for a gateway. At least 85% cheaper.
