1. If you want to go online with a *Logix PLC, the firmware versions of the PLC and Studio 5K have to match. A newer version of Studio 5K is able to open an older application but it needs to convert it to the newer version.

2. In versions prior to 20 you only needed to match the major revision. In version 20 and 21, you need to match major and minor revisions.
