• The configuration of Safety modules via GSD has been improved.
• It is now once again possible to configure I devices in shared mode.
• Restricted use of scripts in the STEP 7 command interface on Windows 10
Due to thread synchronization problems when automatically saving STEP 7 user data, Visual Basic script applications can experience sporadic crashes (possibly with data loss). Therefore, the command interface is currently only partially suitable for such applications. Unpredictable errors can occur, especially with nested loop operations. It is highly recommended that you avoid such use cases and use Visual Basic scripts only with care and caution.
• As of this Hotfix: When uploading certain device configurations, the IP address was corrupted. This has now been corrected.

Programming LAD/STL/FBD blocks
• The function "Check and Update Accesses" has been improved.

It runs and works on Windows 10 Enterprise RUS v1703 x64 (15063.540) (i7-4710HQ + 8Gb RAM + SSD 256G) very well and fast.

A while ago I had a problem with the EKB ESPECIALLY THOSE OF 2017 _8.
I DO ALL THE OPERATIONS THROW THEM IN THE FOLDER
AX NF ZZ BUT DO NOT TAKE THE PROGRAMS.
MY OPERATIVE SYSTEM IS WINDOWS 10 PRO OF 64 BITS.
I INSTALL ANY SIEMENS PROGRAM AND DO NOT ACTIVATE IT WHAT CAN IT BE? NEITHER DOES THE AUTOMATION MANAGER CONNECT THE EKB PROGRAM WHAT CAN I DO? THANK MUCH.

I have to install Step 7 on W10 and I've found Step 7 v5.6 SP1 and Step 7 Professional 2017 SR1.
I checked that Professional includes PLCSIM, S7-GRAPH...
Which one should I install?
v5.6 SP1 requires to install PLCSIM and S7-GRAPH after, doesn't it?

And I've found HF3 and HF5.
Sould I install both or HF5 is enough?
Should I install with v5.6 SP1 and Professional 2017 SR1? Do both require the update?

The most recent EKB I have is from November 2018. Is there another one more recent?

I had v5.6 in W10 two years ago and Step 7 had problems that required HF's to solve them.
I don't know how Step 7 v5.6 SP1 works on W10 recently.

Hi everybody i just installed on win10 and i have problem with license ,during EKB install it says :(Access violation at address 0040B7CC in module'Sim_EKB_Install_2020_10_10.exe'.Read of address EEF2E0DE.)

EKB file is System Hidden in System Hidden folder C:\AX NF ZZ = for write EKB need Run as Admin

ЕКБ файлы Скрытые Системные в Скрытой Системной папке C:\AX NF ZZ = для их записи надо запускать с полномочиями Администратора

Hello,

I'm try to install license for TIA portal 16 Upd3 with EKB_Install_2020_04_17 (running as administrator on Win10) but it show me the follow error message:

"CryptAcquireContext MS_DEF_PROV Error of containger opening: NTE_BAD_KEYSET"

and a second one:

"CryptAcquireContext PROV_RSA_FULL Error of containger opening: unknown error"

Someone can help me on this matter?
