Hi,
I have 2 separate systems (if figuratively speaking - "System_A" and "System_B") that are based on redundant ControlLogix 5555 (L55). Both systems communicating with each other by EthernetIP module, actually "System_B" reads/writes several data from "System_A".
"System_A" main rack consists of redundant:
1756-A7 chassis;
0 - 1756-CNBR;
1 - 1756-L55;
2,3 - 1757-SRM;
4 - 1756-ENBT;
"System_B" main rack consists of redundant:
1756-A7 chassis;
0 - 1756-CNBR;
1 - 1756-L55;
2,3 - 1757-SRM;
4 - 1756-ENBT;
As you see, they have the same hardware configuration for the main rack.
But now we are going to upgrade "System_A". After the upgrade, it will have the following appearance with redundant:
1756-A7 chassis;
0 - 1756-CN2R;
1 - 1756-L73;
2 - 1756-RM2;
4 - 1756-EN2T;
I am worrying about communication for read/write function. Will the read/write data function works without any changes and re-configuration in the "System_B"?

Re: Communication between 2 ControlLogix
Hello,
my short question is - is System A also working as part of the redundant system. Here is an remark from rockwell
The only Standard Redundancy allowing 1756-RM2 is 16.057Standard _Kit1 which works only with 1756-L6x controllers.
And your controller in system B is a 1757-L55.
I'm not sure, that you have an redundant system after this upgrade.
And how is the communication between the both controller - consumer / producer Tags oder messages?
Greats
George
