Hi,
I am passing through another shame from Siemens, consisting in the way they have made the software, forcing the customers to purchase the new CPUs, otherwise the life for the commissioning technician will be impossible...
For sure, everyone will know... if you want to upload a block from a 300 or 400 PLC, only the option "Save with different name" will appear. From there, the chaos starts, as it loses all temporal variables, the name and the symbols. BRAVO SIEMENS !!! GERMAN ENGINEERING !!!
However and "mysteriously" if the CPU belongs to one of the new series (1200, 1500), another menu appears, saying "Overwrite?" Oooohhhh... now is OK !!!
It seems the license fot the TIA portal is not expensive enough for that gipsy band.
It is clear that it is a software limitation, any privileged mind would know how to start finding the shit?
Thanks

The inability to rewrite blocks is a historical reality.
