IBH Softec in TIA portal V13, V15, V15.1, V16

Post by VATEK »

I have a cable from IBH Softec.

With Step 7, ie with the S7 300 PLC, it communicates perfectly;
Now, the problem is when I try to use the in TIA portal V13, V15, V15.1, V16 to be able to transfer to the HMI which is a KTP700 DP. The interface is not visible here IBH Softec

Do you know anyone who has made the TIA Portal communicate with the IBH Softec cable?

IBH Softec cable does not communicate with TIA portal V13, V15, V15.1, V16
To put them in communication, you need to create an opc server that communicates with the plc station.
It's not easy to use, but it can be done.

According to IBHSoftec: (ban)

After successful installation and configuration of the IBHNet driver, run your copy of the TIA® Portal. In the project tree, IBHNet appears as a device in the "Online access" branch. In the properties you can choose whether MPI® or Profibus. Configure the interface settings according to your needs.
The "Interface status" reports "The interface status is unknown". This is normal, as the IBHNet driver is not a physical Siemens device, which is plugged into the PC.
Since the menu item "Extras ⇒ Set PG / PC interface" for setting the interface does not exist in the TIA® Portal, the connected station must be selected in the settings in the IBHNet driver.
From "Start ⇒ Programs ⇒ IBHNet" run the program "Manage IBHNet stations". The screen shown below will be displayed
A dialog box opens with "Options - Test and settings". In this dialog you can choose the IBHNet stations configured for online access.
Alternatively, the setting can also be made in the station dialog by clicking the "Test" button in the station configuration dialog.
The configuration is complete, you can now access online with the TIA® Portal via the selected IBH Link.
But on TIA V13, V15, V15.1 it doesn't work .....

The NetLink Hilscher, is a real communication interface, with a netX micro controller for devices based on ARM9, Cortex M4 and Cortex A9.

the IBH S7 ++ is just a programmable gateway, the reason why I suggested to go the opc server route.
