Hi to all.
I want to upgrade an old schneider PLC to a new one.
The old plc is TSX P573623 and the new one is P581020.
I know that from PL7 you can export the application and then import into unity pro.
The problem is that when you import it since the plc is old and of different family the new plc cannot be introduced/replaced into the imported project.
Is there any other converter or any other way to import the application to the new plc from pl7 to unity pro using any desired plc?
Regards,
C

Re: Schneider PLC Upgrade
Can you give me some instructions or maybe a link to see how it can be done. Because i tried and the formats do not comply.
Another question. If i export the program do i need to re-map the IOs again or are the addresses preserved?

1. The old project - Project Browser - Programs - Tasks - Mast - Right click - Export..
2. Create a new project with the new PLC and the new configuration.
3. The new project - Project Browser - Programs - Tasks - Mast - Right click - Import..
I think you will need to do re-map the IOs again.

I mean to do it in Control Expert or Unity Pro, not PL7

Re: Schneider PLC Upgrade
So you can open a PL7 Project in Unity?
Or do you mean...
1. Export application from PL7
2. Import it in Unity
3. Export Program
4. Create new program with wanted configuration
5. Import Program
Do I understand correctly?

Re: Schneider PLC Upgrade
Just tried it.
Thanks it works. I also exported the variables, and it seems that most of the application can be exported.
Really appreciate you help!
