The LHermes library provides a standardized horizontal communication within a SMT-line (Surface Mounting Technology) based on specification IPC-HERMES-9852. The library is programmed according to Siemens programming style guide and “PLC open” guideline.
Within a SMT-line the Hermes protocol coordinates the PCB board handling. The LHermes library provides Upstream and Downstream Client functionalities according the Hermes Specification V1.4. Optional features like Board Forecast, Board Query and supervisory channel for remote configuration allows an even more efficient production.
