TIA with Sim_EKB, how about updates ect.

Hi guys,

like many here I used Sim_EKB, in this case with TIA V16.
Just curious, what will happen if I allow any updates?

Especially support packages ect.
Will this lead to any problems, has anyone tried this out?


When I first go TIA to run, a window "TIA software updater" popped up, but I did not dare to do anything... Just closed the thing for good.

Why can you not establish a connection to the SIEMENS Update Server with the TIA Administrator, TIA Updater or Corporate Server Configuration Tool?

The following operating systems are no longer supported:

Windows 7
Windows 8 and Windows 8.1
Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2
Windows Server 2008 R2

A connection to the server can no longer be established with these operating systems.

Did you even carefully read my post?

Nothing will happen mate. You can update all. There is no questions during updates about hte licence once the licence is in the C:\\drive
