Hello everybody !
There is a Simatic S7-300 PLC (including CPU 313C-2 DP) and a CP5613A2 (PROFIBUS Card) in NEW usual PC.
I need to create a Single-User WinCC Project on new PC from “zero” and connect it to PLC.
Please show me the way how to set up the communication between WinCC and Simatic S7-300 PLC via CP5613A2 and which SW should be installed on the new PC to do that.
So :
1. I install STEP7
2. I install WinCC
(which components of WinCC should be selected during WinCC installation so that communication between WinCC and PLC via CP5613A2 can be configured later ? )
Should I install :
- Connectivity Pack (Server/Client/Station) ;
- Data Monitor ?
3. What's next?
Which documentation must be used to set up the communication between WinCC and S7-300 PLC via CP5613A2 ?
Please, also show the Chapters / points if possible.
Thanks in Advance.

You should not need Datamonitor or the Connectivity Pack, everything you need should come with WinCC. You simply need to configure a Profibus connection in the Profibus channel. When you open the tag manager, initially you may only see Internal Tags. You'll need to Add a driver, and insert the S7 Protocol Suite. The Profibus channel is part of that.
You'll have to run "Set PG/PC Interface", and configure the correct Access Name for Profibus (CP_L2_1). Usually, S7ONLINE is the only Access Name that appears; you will need to add CP_L2_1. Once added, in the "Interface Parameter Assignment Used", choose your CP5613.

Re: How to set up communication between S7-300 and WinCC via CP5613A2
I installed on my PC :
Win10 Pro v.1909 ; STEP7 v.5.6 SP1 ; WinCC 7.4 SP1 Upd 9 ; SIMATIC NET PC Software v.13.0+SP2
I follow this
https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs ... 0&lc=en-WW How can I create a PROFIBUS-DP connection in WinCC?
And here are my questions :
1. Under Fig.3 there is a text «Please make sure that you assign the application already created to the CP»
What does “application” mean ? Is it about WinCC ? But I have no any WinCC Project yet.
2. When I define the operating mode (Fig.4) it is shown that I must set up the CP5613A2 as “MASTER”.
Should I then set up the CPU as “SLAVE” in «HW config» ?
3. Under Fig.4 ;
- there is a text «Save and compile the configuration»
Is it made from NetPro ? And do we get an *.xdb – file as result ?
- there is a text « Load the configuration into the PC station»
Is it about loading an *.xdb– file to CP5613A2?
- there is a text «Make sure that the PG/PC interface is set to "PC Internal”»
Now CP5613A2 is inserted into PC and in the «Set PG/PC interface» window, “Access Path” Tab it is shown like this :
Access Point of the Application:
S7ONLINE (STEP7) → CP5613A2.PROFIBUS.1» <Active>
Interface parameter Assignment Used:
CP5613A2.PROFIBUS.1» <Active>
When I tried to download the configuration (i.e. *.xdb – file) to CP5613A2 from NetPro, the green LED stopped blinking. But before it was blinking fast (faster then 1Hz).
Seems the configuration was loaded successfully ?
Will it work with PLC when I connect CP5613A2 to PLC by “Profibus”, or it is necessary ONLY to have the "PC Internal" setting in «Set PG/PC interface» ?
Thanks in Advance.

Alex3110, I do not believe it is necessary to create a connection in hardware config, unless you expect the PLC to be the Profibus Master, and the WinCC station to be the slave device. This is not necessary; there can be two masters on the same bus (like there would be if you had a Siemens Comfort or Basic panel on the Profibus network).
I think if you start at Step 2, it will do what you need.

Re: How to set up communication between S7-300 and WinCC via CP5613A2
I only ever do this when using a 'Named Connection'. You really should not need to do any of that for a Profibus connection to a PLC.
This link shows how to read Profibus Remote I/O from a WinCC station.
However, since yo asked: In the Hardware Configuration, you create a PC Station (Figure 1) , and add a CP5613 and an 'Application' (Figure 2). This represents the WinCC application on the PC. Then you compile the Hardware Config. If you right-click on the PC Station, the properties will show you the storage location for the XDB file (it will be under your Step7 project folder). You will copy that XDB, and put it on the PC station running WinCC. You would then import the XDB in the Station Configuration on that PC (see Figure 4 in the link).
To establish a link to a PLC via Profibus, you should only every need to configure WinCC (no Step7 HW config or XDB required).
