Hello dear colleagues.
Would you be so kind to help me find the answers about the functioning the Centum VP (R5) from Yokogawa:
1. What is the architecture inside the processor module e.g. AFV30D?
2. Does the processor module have an operating system, if so, which one?
Some questions about Centum VP (Yokogawa R5 series)

Re: Some questions about Centum VP (Yokogawa R5 series)

The AFV30D processors in the CPU modules are built using MIPS R6000 in big endian.
2. Does the processor module have an operating system, if so, which one?
Yes, there is a bootloader that launches the real-time operating system, both stored in flash memory and custom built by Renesas. Siemens uses the same RTOS, but designed for an ARM architecture.
