S 400 PLC -Need help to have redundancy PLC with ET200

Post by Novice »

Hello guys,
I have actually the following configuration:
1/ Power supply :PS 407 10A
2/ CPU : CPU 410-5H
3/ Communication module "Advanced System interface": CP 443-1
4/ Communications processor Extended for connection: CP 443-5

connected to OLM Converter Profibus fiber optic .

5/ Remote IO ET 200M : IM 153-1 connected also by Profibus to the same converter OLM
---------------------------------
My question is the following:
I need to have a redundancy on the PLC but not on the Remote IO.
Is it possible to have the same configuration mentioned above? but the new redundancy will be on another location.
Thank you in advance for your support.

Hi,
For this You need IM135-2 (6ES7153-2AR04-0XA0) SIMATIC DP, ET 200M Red. Bundle Consisting of: 2x IM 153-2HF (6ES7153-2BA10-0XB0), 1x bus module in/in (6ES7195-7HD10-0XA0)
Also You should have active backplane bus modules

Thanks guys for the answer,

is it possible to have only the redundancy on the CPU, to bring the same configuration of the PS, CPU, CP...etc or I should bring the same configuration of the CPU and Remote IO (ET 200) ?
Thanks in advance for your support.

Hi,
If You use IM153-1 You are able to reach I/O modules just from one redundant CPU. With IM153-2 You can simultaneously connect to both redundant CPU-s
