For DeltaV SI dongle I think you must be Emerson LBP or IBP, before you can get those dongle. and it's also kind of subscription in pricing per year for the dongle cost. because it has expiration date of.

For running dongle it depends on the license you buy with it or number of DST.

hello"buckv18". thanks your reply, yes, the SI dongle has expiration date, but it seems gold dongle no needs to update time every year, it can be used for any deltav versions, except R15 LTS! the running dongle, license files lost, but dongle is ok, my friends want to sell these two dongles, any idea how much are these two dongles worth?

Yes, I mean you have to pay some money if you want to extend the expiration date.

Emerson dongle has their system ID, which can be tracked by Emerson who owns that dongle. Running dongle without its license is useless, can't be used in DeltaV Workstations.
Running dongle with legit license, emerson sold around $50k approx. SI dongle maybe 4-6 times.

But if you sell used dongle with unknown authors, or stolen dongle it will be useless or sold at really cheap price because it has law consequences.

Btw 15 LTS runs new kind of SI dongle, but the old can be worked too.

hi "bucky18", thanks a lot! I tested my SI dongle, 15LTS system couldn't recognize it, i guess maybe hardlock dongle can't support 15LTS.

I creat a spare proplus station for delta v projet. When i insert hard lock dongle , not recognized in dv exlorer , but it instaled on new pc.
And when i return dongle on ex pc , detecing and i can download

where you create spare deltav workstation ? is the PC specs is the same or just regular PC ?

What windows version do you use ? is it coming from Emerson ?
