Hello, esteemed forum members!
I've encountered a problem while working with TIA Portal and the HMI TP900 Comfort panel.
Problem Description:
The HMI TP900 Comfort is connected to PLC 1510SP-1 PN.
Device IP addresses:
PLC: 192.168.0.1
HMI: 192.168.0.2
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
In TIA Portal, the connection between HMI and PLC is configured via "HMI_Connection_1".
Tags from the PLC are imported into the HMI and linked to the corresponding objects on the screen.
However, when running the project on the HMI, data from the PLC is not displayed.
Additional Information:
In TIA Portal's Topology View, the HMI port appears greyed out.
I have successfully pinged both the PLC and HMI from the programming device (PG), confirming network connectivity.
Additionally, I pinged the PLC from the HMI's command prompt, and the ping was successful.
Despite these successful pings, the connection in TIA Portal remains greyed out, and data is not displayed on the HMI.
Steps Taken:
Verified the physical connection between devices — everything is in order.
Ensured that IP addresses and subnet mask are correctly configured.
Recompiled and reloaded the project into both HMI and PLC.
Checked tag settings and their linkage to screen objects.
Question:
Could there be any additional settings within the HMI that block data display? Are there any physical switches or software parameters that need to be checked?
I would appreciate any advice and recommendations.
