WinCC Flex and Protool On Non-Siemens WindowsCE panels ?

Post by bb »

Has anybody managed to get WinCC Flex and/or Protool to run on a non Siemens Windows CE panel? If so what needs to be done to get it to work?

on SIEMENS panel, you found integrated a protool or wincc flexible runtime. To run project on a non SIEMENS panel, you tested with a run time licence ( protool or wincc flexible).

The runtime licence you can buy is for a pc, not a windows CE panel. What I need to know is is it possible to copy certain files from a Siemens panel to a different panel (or extract the files from the Siemens images within Protool/WinCCFlex) and then get the runtime working on a 3rd party panel.
Has anybody tried this either successfully or unsuccessfully?
