[?]: Impossible UpSize MMCs for CPUs

Post by MaxHeadroom »

Hi!

I have heard from a person working at Siemens that all MMC´s for CPU´s 32KB, 64KB, ..., 2MB are 128MB card.
Only the header written in the card says the CPU 32kb, 64kb ans so on.

Is this correct?

He said he has formatted an MMC card in an normal usb-card-reader under windows and the card has 128MB. Problem: this destroys the siemens-header and the cpu dont accepts the MMC.

Is it possible to make an image from eg a 2MB-card and copy it on a 32kb card?

I have not enougth money to destroy some siemens MMC´s but today i will buy a normal MMC and i will make an image from a Siemens MMC and put this on the normal MMC.

If somebody have some informations please write.

I write my solutions in the next days.

thx

Hi!

I tested a MMC 64kb in a card-reader with winimage.

it was not possible to read the mmc :-(
Disk error 21

i hope i find another software to read the mmc.

Somebody have an idea for a special software?

is there a way to determine the capacity of an mmc without destroying data?
