i have the same problem

"The following program could not be installed:
Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine 2000 SP4
Setup cannot complete the instalation."

i desintalled the wincc flex 2005 and this not possible to install new

tks for all

Remove any previous MSSQL instances, clean dirs, sweep registry..
