Hi friends
I want to connect a cpu 226 simens to Protool also i have RS232/PPI cable ,
but i dont know that is it necessary to instal a cp5611 on my pc to connect them
or, i can connect them without cp5611?
can anyone help me?

I don't understand very well your purpose. For programing this type CPU you need Microwin, and for connection you can use RS232/PPI cable. This mean PC - PLC. Protool is using for programing some type HMI panels. And this panel is connecting to the PLC (CPU) with MPI, Profibus or ... this depends from your panel and CPU posibilities. And now If you have Protool's program for some type panel and you want to download this program to the panel must chose MPI/profibus, Serial, TCP/IP or usb
connection, from Protool.
