[?]: WinCC 6.2 can't open project -> "database inval

i install MS SQL 2005 + WinCC V6.2
when i open WinCC to made my project and close it. Not problem
when i open my project it appear a message box " database context does not exist or invalid " . anybody help me ?

In this case there are more possible problem:

1) your project has been build with version <= 5.0
2) there is a problem in the installation of the wcc
3) the project have a data base corrupted !!!!

check the first. In this case you need to load a wcc 6.0 and migrate
from v5 to v6

if the projet is very old, for example v4.02 you need to load v5.0
migrate, and reload v6.0 and still migrate . Finally you can load v6.2
and use !

No problem installing , my project made in WinCC 6.2 if i made new project and close project . It's okey , But when i try to open my project . It can't open and appear massage box " database context does not exist or invalid "

I know my reply maybe too late, but I experienced a similar problem, then I solved it with this solution.

Try to execute this simple command "reset_wincc.vbs" in Windows>Start>Run while WinCC is not yet running then just click OK at the pop-up. After doing this run your wincc project; your problem will be solved! It is best to do this after you boot or restart your pc.

This kind of problem occurs when you have global scripts accessing tags from an OPC server and failed to stop (the scripts) after you deactivate or close you wincc project.

Better late than never!

If you install kaspersky firewall on you computer, please check the IP rules "block Windows "Server Message Block" Activity TCP 445" and close it
