Computer connection of older verions (<V4.0) to version 4.0 is possible. To do so, you will have to activate compatibility mode on the computer with version 4.0 in the Automation License Manager.
Note:
We highly recommend that you install the same version of the Automation License Manager on all computers involved.
· Important: the Automation License Manager Graphical User Interface and the Automation License Manager Service (ALMAPPX.EXE, ALMSRVX.EXE) need access to the communication port which is defined in the Automation License Manager (default=4410)
Make sure that this port is opened for access to the Automation License Manager in the Firewall.
· The remaining days prior to expiration of trial license keys will be displayed in the Windows task bar.
· User-defined settings can be reset to default values.
