hello all

i think the siemens s7-400 memory card (MC) just a eeprom
and i want read it from note book with pcmcia slot
(6es7952-1****-0aa0)
in system device it show a "PCMCIA UNKNOWN_MANUFACTURER"
anyone can help me upload the drivers?

it is possible insert Siemens MC to PCMCIA slot,
i try to remove the green cap from the top of the MC card,and is OK.

you can use a general MMC card reader clone SIEMENS MMC,
i want use PCMCIA for clone MC,then what happen next just a drivers for
PCMCIA storage of siemens MC ,thats all

Memory Card Explorer ("MCE" & "MCE/NT") is a graphical Windows software package which provides direct access to the data stored in flash, SRAM and ATA PCMCIA memory PC Cards. It allows the binary "image" of the card data to be saved to or loaded from the hard disk drive in simple and fast operations. Data between any two address blocks can be copied and edited.

The format of the data on the card is unimportant - it could be a TFFS style format, or it could be a proprietary format written by a logger or portable instrument, or it could contain a mixture of formats. In all cases MCE can access the data. Also included is a card viewer that allows direct hex display of the data on the card.

Припоминаю только, что есть такая программа "Memory Card Explorer" от Elan Digital Systems Ltd.

Если это Flash карта, попробуй найди ноутбук с PCMCI слотом , сними с карты памяти зелёненькую крышку, для этого аккуратненько отожми защелки по бокам. Карта короткая, в ноутбуки обычно суют карты в два раза длиннее, поэтому крышка будет мешать, карта не достаёт до разъёма. После этого с помощью скотча и других подручных материалов, сделай на карте бандажик с пимпочкой, за которую потом эту карту сможешь вытащить обратно из ноутбука. Вставляй карту в разъём PCMCI, доталкивая её до разъёма, например карандашом.
Скачивай из инета прграмму Memory Card Explorer от Elan.

Демо версия работает 30 дней, тебе должно хватить. Разбираешься с опциями MCE и скачиваешь образ МС.

Качать надо файлик mced321.zip (5.87 Mega Byte)

Есть также предположение, что и WinHex на такое способен, раз он S7-MMC ест

Нет, WinHex на такое не способен. Кажется, я и такой способ пробовал. Давненько это было, два года назад. Могу ошибаться, склероз.

I have dowloaded and uploaded Siemens Memory Card (for S7-400) with PCMCIA soket,
but
Troubleshooting

* CardWare or Card Wizard products should be disabled when running MCE.
* Check your PCMCIA hardware type and make sure that is an Intel 82365 compatible.
* If MCE fails to identify a card on start-up then it is 90% certain that MCEs default memory window conflicts with another utility/ and or hardware. Refer to Command Line Arguments and set-up an alternative PC-Window using the W option.

* Updating MCE.....always use <Control Panel> <Add/Remove programs> when upgrading from a previous software issue.

При втыкании карты в слот виндовс так же просил драйвер, но я ничего кроме MCE не использовал. Step7 на ноутбуке присутствовал, но, по моему, это никак не связано. Сейчас вспоминаю, долго возился с опциями командной строки MCE и пробовал запускать MCE из Win2000 и Win98. Не могу сейчас точно вспомнить, что повлияло на результат.

it can't work

i try to find another old DELL latitude PII266 notebook under windows 98
and it worked well
the PCMCIA controller is Texa Instruments PCI-1311 CardBus
and there have a new hardware ,name is SRAM Memery Card under MTDs(memory technology devices)

Do you remember which type of card you set in MCE to get S7 MC card image? SRAM, Flash type 1, Flash type 2, ...

I tried several setings and got slithly different images. Eventualy in order to make sure I want to read its flash memory chip on MC card (29f010- 32 pin tsop package 128kb nor type flash memory).
