I have at my work a Simatic Step 7 and a WinCC Flexible floating license.
I want to know how can I make a backup to this license.

When you have keys ?
Hard Disk?
Floppy Yellow diskette ?
USB stick ?
One what you need - save serial number.

You don't need any kind of software or anything like that.
just follow the instruction:

Exit all simatic manager and licence Manager software....
Cut your existing license key and paste it into another drive in AXNFZZ folder (Create this folder if it does not exist)
Use Copy and paste command (You'll have a "copy of xxxxxx.ekb")
please use Right click and select the "copy" and "Paste" Command from the drop down menue.
cut the main license key and paste it into the first drive in AXNFZZ folder
Rename the "Copy ofxxxx.ekb" file to "xxxxxx.ekb"
now open License manager and check your file.

This true only for FastCopy keys.

Make image of your hard drive .
After transfer license key back to your flash card.
Now use backup image and install it to your computer.
You will have 2 copys of your license key.
